70 Years of MDC

To mark the 70th anniversary of our founding, we created an online exhibition, 70 Years of MDC, which introduces the public to the history and activities of the Museum Documentation Center (MDC), the key institution to the development of the museum profession in Croatia. more
 

The Tomislav Šola photographic slide collection

Three online exhibitions curated by Zrinka Marković present photographic slides from the donation of Tomislav Šola. The slides depict scenes he captured during visits to numerous world museums and monuments from the early 1980s to the late 1990s. more
 

Boris Bućan: 4 Posters for the IMD

Croatian artist Boris Bućan produced four International Museum Day posters for the MDC—in 1982, 1985, 1986, and 1988. Zrinka Marković, the Head of our Museum Poster Collection, curated a virtual exhibition of Bućan’s posters who died last year, exactly on International Museum Day, May 18, 2023. more

Numerous Croatian Museums Break Attendance Records in 2024

According to the 2024 attendance survey by the Museum Documentation Center (MDC), total visits to Croatian museums grew by 8%, from 4,397,405 in 2023 to 4,757,790 last year. more
